All the staff who looked after me for the 6months I was in hospital in 2001

I was diagnosed with APML in 2001 . It was very frightening particularly since I had nursed children with leukaemia so I understood all the implications. Fortunately I had a good outcome with chemo only and eventually discharged from clinic after 10yrs. I got my life back only for the researchers who work hard daily to find cures. I am forever grateful . My youngest was 8yr when I was diagnosed. She now is a senior nurse in a Bone Marrow Transplant unit in the city where I live.
